Stay Away - this place is horrible! First of all we went at lunch time, there are no lunch specials, so the food is pricey. I ordered a baked ziti which is stated on the menu comes with either soup or salad. Since I don't eat salad I asked what soups they had to which the waiter replies, we don't have soup. Ok, then why is it even on your menu? When our food comes out, it's a bowl of plain pasta with some sauce (very little sauce) and meatballs thrown on top - definitely not the baked ziti I ordered. After explaining to the waiter he said he'd bring me the right dish. My friend had almost finished her meal by the time I got my correct meal. The food was only so-so, and even with a lot left over, I had no desire to even take home as leftovers. Not worth the $16 they were charging. When it came time to pay the bill he charged me for the wrong dish which was even more money. When I tried to explain this to him he was like no I charged you less. He couldn't do the math. I had to give him the menu to show him what the prices actually were. After he got the manager to fix the bill the manager asks me and my friend if we had been here before. She said yes and I said I hadn't and that I probably wouldn't be back because the service was poor and the problem with the bill. He then completely ignores me, turns to my friend and asks her how she likes some of the changes they had made. When she turns to head towards the door he starts to walk away and I have to stop him. I mean excuse me, but I was the one who had the issue with the service and your answer as a manager is to completely ignore me?! So I said no wait, I need to tell you the service was bad, I was brought the wrong food and I overcharged and he goes oh well we fixed that, pretty much just dismissing me. An "I'm sorry" would have gone a long way instead the manager acted as moronic as the waiter we had serving us and has really shown why their average reviews on here are 1 star. He has no idea how to run a restaurant. I am pretty laid back when it comes to service and what not, but this just kept getting worse. Not to mention it was not busy at all in there. I highly doubt this place stays open more than a year. Go somewhere else that at least will pretend to appreciate your business.

I kind of feel like an idiot giving this restaurant four stars, after all the glowing reviews, but my experience was on 2/19/14 about 2:45pm and was a positive one. There were a bunch of large pizzas in the display case, one had just come out of the oven. It was Abby chicken w/bacon. I was pointed to the register, paid, and in about ten minutes two gigantic slices were served on an oversize dish. My soda came in a plastic cup. The food was hot, they tasted very good to me, not great, and the server came over a total of three times to check on me. I have to apologize to all those with the terrible reviews, but my experience was very good.

This was the worst service I have ever experienced in my entire life my husband and I came in with our daughter, and the waitress seemed to be very high, in fact my 6 year old daughter was saying mom why is this woman falling asleep taking our order she then came back 15 minutes later to repeat the order wrong that was not put in the first time... My husband and I then realized that we're dealing with someone that is under the influence of something. I will never go in there again and I'm furious that they allow someone like that to work around families that are trying to have dinner. # despicable

I have tried for the third and final time. The Marketplace needs a pizza place that can actually serve customers. We have waited, just to be greeted at the table, longer than most would wait to actually get food. Someone who knows how to run a pizzeria should hurry up and buy them out. They can't be making much money.

I would give this place a 4-star only because they got tables-for-two that are so big, that you literally need to yell across the table, but I had to give it a 5 star for the amazing, delicious, way above average, huge slice of pizza --- for a great price! What made it for me was the DOUGH, airy yet crunchy, with a thick layer of cheese on a solid flavorful sauce. Awesome! And the price is right. Totally coming back for more.

This is literally THE most tasteless pizza I have ever had. Paper has more flavor. I swear to you I was puzzled at the fact that I was eating something but I tasted absolutely nothing. I mean not the sauce, the toppings, the crust, I couldn't even taste the cheese. Though the people working were nice, it was pretty slow service. Not to mention that I am pretty sure it is a health code violation that the guy making the pizza was wearing shorts. Someone dropped a salt shaker sending salt flying for a good 5 feet then I watched people just staring at it until the hostess finally picked it up, just closed the lid and put it back in place with the others. Didn't clean it. Just pop the lid and in for some unsuspecting, unknowing customer to use at a later date. Then came the even more entertaining yet gross part of watching one girl attempt to put a salad in a to-go order into a Styrofoam container until she finally just gave up and dumped it back into small separate containers. The ultimate kicker? The waitress was looking to put dressing on someone elses salad. I watched her take one of those ketchup bottle dispensers up to her nose, make a gross face then pour it on the salad. Only to then see the same girl who picked up the salt, refill the bottle with dressing from some gross jar that clearly had been in use for a while. Now I am no food expert but I am pretty sure you need to clean out a container before you put "new" sauces in. Or is it ok to just constantly stack new stuff over the old stuff? I am sorry but despite the staff being somewhat friendly this place sucked a fat one. I'd rather starve during a movie before I eat this cardboard crap again.

Well, I should have known better after seeing all of the one stars. Just because there is a crowd doesn't mean it is good. Pizza was bland and they were skimpy on the toppings. My husband was going to take the pizza home and I told him the dog wouldn't eat it. The only thing saving this restaurant is the movie theater next door. Will not be coming back.

  • Tony V.

The pizza is no good! Did they open a restaurant just for the hell of it? It went from take out to dine in from no servers to servers. I think they are just confused and don't know what they are doing.

This place does not even deserve one star. The most tasteless pizza I've ever had. Could have saved on some calories by just eating a piece of soggy bread. The soda was also tasteless. Just not good at all.

Visited on 10/25/2013 - Like another reviewer posted.. This place doesn't deserve any stars. Service is unacceptable. Food taste was bland and overpriced for the portion size. I watched every table near me have a similar if not worse experience than me. On 10/27/2013 I visited The Grind Cafe (same owner as Bella Amici next door). This was a mistake as well. The server appeared to have no experience waiting on tables. The first three things we asked for they did not have - yet these items were on their new menu. I noticed the man wondering behind the counter appeared to be the same guy from Bella Amici.. Once i confirmed The Grind was under the same owner/management, I got my family up and we left. I briefly spoke with the Dumb & Dumber - Lloyd character behind the counter. He offered nothing but poor excuses for my Bella experience as well as this new Grind stop. Good luck keeping these places afloat for the next 6 months. I look forward to trying the 2 new restaurants that will be in their place next year. Hopefully they will have different owner/management team.

Awful! Chewy eggplant, an Italian sub with 2 slices of meat on it, pasta and meatballs with literally no sauce. Tried it once....never again. A complete waste of money. I wish I would have read the reviews before going here.

    (1)
  • Kirsten L.

Poor organization. The food was tasty but the service was awful. We sat outside. We were given a buzzer and the server will bring us our food. Somehow the buzzer and the location of the table were connected. Poor guy. We kept asking him where our other pizza was. The order didn't come out complete so there were a few dishes missing. The counter had only 1 cashier and the food line was long. We were to order our food at the counter and then the food will be delivered to us. The counter had little space for anything. Customers were all jammed up and didn't know where to go. The layout of the place was unorganized.

Clean restaurant. That's the best part. Food sucks. Pizza is the worst I have had in a long time. It's a shame bc market place needs a good pizza shop.

  • Ronni G.

There really needs to be a no-star option for Yelp reviews. Terrible service, terrible system, and terrible food. The lowest quality ingredients are used for every dish. Tasteless, ridiculous "pizza". A friend ordered pasta with sausage, and it was brought to the table with no sauce. When he asked why there was no sauce, he was told that he had to ask for it. Really? REALLY?? On top of all this, a very untrained, inhospitable staff. Let's see how long this horrible place will stay in business.

Never going back! Should be 0 stars if it would let me. We arrive to grab a quick bit for lunch on a Monday before seeing a movie. They were out of both types of Moscato. Then I tried ordering Sam Adams and they only had 1 left, so I settled for a Bud Light. I got the mug and it still had what looked like grease from old lipstick on it. The garlic rolls were saturated in olive oil, and weren't even good. After 30 mins we finally got our food, which apparently took so long because they burnt the bread on my chicken parm sub. I bite into my sub to find out its eggplant!! They rushed to replace it and took it off the bill, but made us late for our movie. So I didn't even get to eat my sub until after the movie. Just had to put it in my truck during the movie. There were so many errors made and not ever did a manager bother to come apologize. I felt bad for the server it was his first week and he was trying his hardest and apologizing for the screw ups from the kitchen. Worst run restaurant I've ever encountered in all my years being in the hospitality business. Will not return until it's under new management or a new company.

A tale of two things the entire meal. The server was very nice, and provided good service, but definitely a rookie. Garlic knots were good. I ordered ravioli with Alfredo and chicken. Server checked with kitchen and they said that they couldn't do it. A little surprised at that so I changed my order to penne. Too bad b/c I had that dish on the brain. The side Caesar was good but it came with dressing on side, not tossed. Tossing my own salad looks as bad as it sounds:-). Then...the server came by and told us that they ran out of the cream used for tha Alfredo sauce. Too bad. Kids bow tie and mom's angel hair and meatballs were good.

This place deserves no stars! They steal from their customers. They took 20$ for a meal they never fed us and refused to refund or replace it. The manager is an incompetent idiot with no restaurant experience whatsoever. The staff sits around talking and making fun of guests. I have been a restaurant manager and will never be serviced like that again. I will see that this restaurant undergoes changes. The owner is a man who doesn't have the decency to return phone calls and fails to stand by his restaurant! If he won't why should we. The pizza was dry. The tomato sauce was watered down. Everything tasted frozen. They were extremely high priced and honestly I wish I would've went to a McDonald's or a Pizza Hut over this place because at least they stand by their product and the staff there treats their customers with respect.

I have to agree with previous yelper. But I give it one star. The staff is just horrible and tonight we were in the plaza area & decided to give it a second chance FOR NOTHING. They have have kids that are NOT interested in serving, clicking around in groups just talking and not paying any attention to the customers coming in. They had several pies in the front, one being a full cheese pizza. When we asked for two slices, we were told that the whole pie was spoken for and that it would be another 15-20 mins. for the next pie...REALLY???? On a Friday night??? WTF? the morons behind then clucked for another 3 mins. when I asked to speak to the manager. He was right there...an older man, who looked more confused than the kids there! We walked out. This was our second attempt there. First time there, we got crappy service, they got out order wrong and were charged a lot!!! Take it from me, GO TO DOMINIC'S III in the Winn-Dixie shopping center on Jog & Hypoluxo, it has the best Italian good around and the pizza is always fresh, and available. We ran there after leaving this awful place. GET A BETTER STAFF WHO WANT TO WORK, NOT JABBER!!!

Pizza tasted like it had come from Publix. Crust was thick and tasted like it was from frozen dough. Topping was skimpy and wasn't juicy; looked and tasted like it was baked on. Pizza can't compete with the several franchise and many independent pizzerias in Delray Beach. Often I'm willing to give a restaurant a second chance. Not this time.

  • Kelli K.

Horrible! First, Mgr has no clue how to manage the restaurant....Very poorly run. Pizza is the absolute worse! Save yourself and skip this place.

Okay. I went to see "The Heat" at the Frank Theaters in this great new shopping/entertainment co mplex - The Delray Marketplace. The movie was VERY funny, all thanks to Melissa McCarthy's slapstick delivery. Afterward, we decided to try another of the many restaurants in this complex, and decided on Bella Amici. I hate to give any restaurant a poor rating, especially a new one starting out, but I'm here to be honest and hopefully it will be helpful for this establishment going forward. The location is great - right across from the theaters, in a busy corner spot. The decor is modern, bright and really very nice. Lots of outdoor cafe tables. All pluses. We arrived late afternoon, with no customers in the restaurant. After looking at a wall menu, we noticed there were 12 employees present, standing around talking in different groups of conversation. No one greeted or acknowledged us. I walked over to one of the groups, excusing my interruption, to ask if we seated ourselves anywhere or waited to be seated. We were advised to see the cashier to order, and the food would be brought to our table. It woud have been nice if they would have let us know how business is done, rather than having us stand there awkwardly not knowing what to do. Our order was a light meal of a small Margherita Pizza and a house salad to share, diet coke and water with lemon - $24. We sat at a table with 1 table setting. Drinks were brought to table. A server brought us the house salad in one bowl,. I had to ask for another bowl and a place setting. The salad was fresh, but the one in the display had croutons. Ours did not. Olives and pepperoncini would have been a thoughtful, authentic addition, IMHO. The pizza was brought to us, and was not the Margherita Pizza we ordered, but rather a pizza called The Village, which had sliced tomatoes and garlic. I told the server we ordered a Margherita, and there was a lot of conversation among the staff that we could hear about how they don't have a Margherita pizza. Really? It's the first one listed on the wall menu! After much hustle and bustle over this, I was informed that "it's not your fault. We never had the Margherita before and it wasn't programmed into the computer, so the cashier didn't know how to enter it and The Village pizza was entered instead." We decided to wait for the Margherita to be made, and that took a while. Was it worth the wait? Here's the hard part for me - I have to say "no." Being Italian, and a good cook myself, I will tell you that the crust tasted more like a flavorless flatbread, there was too much mozarella, and the tomato slices were too thick and not well enough cooked because they were too thick. It was disappointing. Although we made really one selection from a full pizzeria menu, I don't know that I'll go back because a Margherita pizza is such a basic thing to make in a pizzeria, and if that isn't done well, I have my doubts about the rest of the menu. Another thing. Seeing that there's an "NYPD Meat Lover's Pizza" on the menu, and also under the beverages there's a listing for "Specialty Bottled Drinks," I asked if they had Manhattan Special - a widely available espresso coffee drink in NYC restaurants and pizzerias. The people behind the counter had such puzzled looks that I retracted my request. I think Bella Amici is a pretty place that needs employees enthused to greet and serve customers attentively and with a better handle on the menu; and that preparing authentic Italian food calls for an accurate understanding of the dishes and expert technique. I don't know. Maybe I expect too much because I know better. Sorry!

If it was possible to give zero stars I would. Service was horrible. An absolute disgrace. Waited 15 minutes just to be acknowledged. .. another 10 once seated and over 25 minutes for 1 slice. Staff is overwhelmed and poorly trained. Management useless. Food descent but I was starving by the time it came. Missed movie also.

The Pizza isnt Good. Even though i read it in the review before i csme i still wanted to find out for myself, but maybe i should believe it more often. The garlic wings were flavorless.

We arrived at Bella Amici hopeful we would enjoy a nice Italian dinner. That is the polar opposite of what we got. We waited about fifteen minutes for our drinks to arrive. After we got our drinks our server did not come for about an hour. Then our food came out and we were so happy because we were staving. Then we tasted it. It was awful! The pizza tastes like water with sauce, the calzone was oily and was not even stuffed, and our pizza toppings were incorrect. We eventually asked for the manager. She was a completely rude and does not know how to run a restaurant. Instead of helping or caring she screamed like a little girl at us. Overall this restaurant sucks and we should not have paid a dime. I repeat do not eat here!

  • Jennifer L.

We ordered 2 large pizzas and garlic cheese bread and garlic knots. Both the bread and garlic knots were disgusting. They didn't taste garlic at all and the texture seemed like they were old and not fresh. The pizza was doughy and seriously lacked any sauce. The cheese slid right off the dough. We had 5 kids and none of them would even finish their slice. When the kids don't like it you know it must be bad. I spent over $50 and I am soooo disappointed this was a total waste of dinner we are now eating PB and J.

This is a 0 star place. I had the most horrible dining experiences of my entire life at this place. After sitting down I was convinced to order a calzone with pepperoni instead of just getting a slice. I ended up waiting 57 minutes and was told twice that it would be ready in 1-15 minutes and we're very sorry but it will be worth it. When I finally decided to get up and ask the chef himself what was up with my calzone, he replied what's up is the other cook called in sick and we're shortstaffed that's what up, he then proceeded to turn his back and continue doing what he was doing. I then asked him approximately how much longer it would take(for the second time) since I've been waiting almost an hour now. he then proceeded to help another customer who just walked up and ordered a slice which he put into the oven he then decided to open the bottom stove and look for my calzone after asking me which one was mine.( there was only one)He then closed the oven and turned his back on me again. once again I said to him, you still haven't answered my question approximately how long do you think it will take(for the third time now!) for my calzone to be ready, he proceeded to tell me don't you know calzones take a long time to cook and got very upset and we proceeded to get into a very loud verbal argument where he literally pressed himself against the counter and acted as if he was going to climb over the counter and hit me, that's when I Asked him if he wanted to fight me or something because it sure looked like he was getting ready to climb over the counter. It turns out there was some woman, in a dress, there the whole time who never wanted to acknowledge herself as the manager because she was obviously scared of the cook, as were all the other staff. after I went out the front door three different servers apologized to me for his behavior and they didn't understand why he was acting that way but he was very stressed out today. The manager hardly said a word nor offered a solution nor apologize to me and no one would look me in the eyes. when I left this place, I was physically shaking...The so called cook or pizza boy named Chris (I believe) was completely out of line and never apologized in any way. He actually continued to be aggressive with his body language and his multiple comments throughout. in fact the owner came along and was also afraid to confront Chris. Seems to me somebody there should look for a new pizza flipper so that the staff feels a little more at ease. it was very obvious that the female manager was terrified of him, since she never spoke a word to him during the 15 minute ordeal...what a joke! like I said the worst dining experience I've ever had. Oh and after an hour and 20 minutes, the owner decided to introduced himself and offered to give me the calzone for free in a box. And a meal on him next time I returned. When I got home I threw the calzone into the garbage, as not to be poisoned by their crazy cook and I will never ever return to this so-called restaurant. I am a Sicilian Italian and I have been dining at Italian restaurants and pizza shops for nearly 40 years this was the absolute worst experience I have ever had!!! When I was leaving the place a gentleman who was eating there came up to me in my car and apologized for what had happened to me, he said he had heard everything and couldn't believe the way I was being spoken to and told me that I did a great job keeping my cool. he also told me that their pizza was undercooked/raw. The table next to me, who saw me waiting for an hour. was unable to get any of the beers that were on the menu, because they were sold out and all the wines were sold out so they had to settle for an already open bottle of wine. they were also apologetic when I left and said good luck to me...I actually have lost sleep over this and even considered going back there to confront the cook whose name I believe was Chris, he sincerely wanted to fight me, I took that very personally and I will not forget him!! -Thomas M. P.S. I have had their pizza before and it was over cooked on the bottom, undercooked/doughy in the middle, very little sauce and skimping toppings. They just threw a few pepperoni on top, of an already cooked cheese under the glass...that's why I took the girls advice and went with the calzone. Obviously a mistake. I believe you will see similar reviews here. Their pizza, as it stands now, is a 2 out of 5 stars. Don't waste your time or money here, just go over to the Italian restaurant in the same plaza. They have their own brick pizza oven. At least I believe it's brick or very similar....much better pies to be had there...

Zero stars if I could. If you go here, you are a fool. Brought my family of five here tonight, ages 4, 3 and 1. This place is a disaster of a business. The other comments about the system are true. You look at a menu on the wall, then order your food from a cashier who has at least 10-12 teenagers standing behind her doing NOTHING except: chewing gum, texting, hugging each other, and drinking soda from kid's cups. You pay and tip first!!! I reluctantly tipped 15% since I had no cash and figured how bad could it be? I'll tell you how bad. The service was so bad that if I got my bill at the end of the meal I probably would have tipped 5% to prove a point. Small children at a table? Get drinks over there ASAP. This took about 10 minutes and were delivered by our gum chewing teen waiter. The food came after our overpriced, undersized side salads that cost $6.50. The pizza was average......However, the lights hanging over our table had cobwebs, my wife's fork had a hair in it. The owner, Art S. was walking around in a daze, bussing tables himself and rearranging the bottled cold drinks while sitting in a chair HIMSELF. These punk teens watched their boss doing these chores for them. Toilet paper in the bathroom? No, why would there be, it was just a Friday evening. After waiting about 10 minutes for a refill on my drink, I then had to waive my arm at the hoard of teens behind the counter until finally, the cashier (chewing gum) came over and asked if I need something. Yes, a refill please and by the way, I was waiving my arm for about 30 seconds. "I'm sorry she says." What else can she say. I saw a table of 55+, they were getting up from their table to ask for refills. What are the wait staff for? I asked who I thought was Art if it was him and to come talk to me a second. He graciously came out from behind the crowd of teens. I told him about my experience and that I would never come there again. There is no way I could afford to have average food and the worst service, bar none, that I have ever seen. By the way, I am 48, well traveled and have eaten in more restaurants than most people. Art was nice to offer a large pizza on him next time. I would not even do it for free. This place has potential and because of the location it may limp along for as long as Art and his partner want to float it. But I bet he has a heft triple net overhead and burns through money on over-staffing. I believe it could survive if they do a more traditional way of waiting on tables, improve the food, and fire the children running amok. If these guys are self managing, they need a pro in there to clean house on the staff and get serious. For now, it is a nursery or circus. Your choice.

They have recently switched to full table service. Same menu, pizza is not the best but ok for a quick bite before a movie. Very convenient location right opposite the theater entrance. Quick, friendly service.

Worst pizza ever. The crust is reminiscent of public school cafeteria pizza. The sauce tastes like it came from a can. The staff is clueless and inattentive bordering on rude. A few days after dining here I took my young nephew to Chuck E Cheese....the pizza at CEC is better. Avoid this place.

Like some of the other reviewers, if I could give this place 0 stars I would. Also like other reviews, we were giving this place a 2nd chance thinking the 1st time we were here too soon after the initial opening. Well, obviously not! Both times we had the same server; a 20ish kid that identifies herself as the "Manager" and unfortunately this young lady appears to lack even the smallest bare-bone knowledge of customer service. Both times we ate here her priority was standing in the kitchen area laughing & talking with a group of 4 or 5 other employees rather than tending to her customers needs! On this trip we weren't given utensils when we first sat down so I expected them to be delivered when our food came. But no, I had to ask for a fork, knife, napkins etc. which is fine, we all make mistakes. But, she walked away to never return. As our somewhat fresh, hot food is sitting on the table several minutes pass before I realize she's more consumed with chatting with her co-workers than tending to her customers needs. So, I had to leave the table to ask for utensils again. She silently handed them to me without a word of acknowledgement. No, "I'm sorry, I forgot, no, oh my gosh, I apologize!" Not even "Here" she just stuck out her hand with an annoyed look for interrupting her conversation. In any case, on this trip the Pizza was slightly better than the first. However, just a sidebar, but our 1st time here I ordered the "Italian Combo" sub. I'm a sucker for a good Italian sub (or Hero, Grinder, Buckle insert your regions name here!) so, whenever it's offered, 9 times out of 10 I'll order it. The ordering process here is to place your order at the register, get a number to place on the table & when your orders ready they bring it to you. So, since most places that serve a cold Italian sub it usually consists of assorted Italian meats, cheese, and all the accoutrements (ie. lettuce, tomato, onion, etc,) and cuz I've had so many nasty, soggy or worse yet, hard green tomatoes that I now request them to be left off. So, I place my order by saying "I'd like an Italian Combo with just lettuce & onion, no tomatoes or peppers of any kind please." However, while placing my order I notice that the young girl taking it appears confused. I didn't think it was that unusual of a request so I didn't understand her confusion. However, it soon becomes apparent, when our server (the Restaurant "Manager" LOL) came to our table and asks "Do you want anything else on your sub or just lettuce and onion? I asked her to clarify what she was asking and she stated "Well, I mean do you want the meat & stuff or just the lettuce & onion?" Now, mind you their subs are $9.00 but by asking to take the tomatoes & Peppers off I was going to be served a sub roll with just onions and lettuce....... Is this a "duh moment" to anyone else or am I expecting too much? I mean I was a waitress once so maybe I'm a little harsh?!?! But, I explained to her I did want meat & cheese on it (I felt stupid even saying this) but I just didn't want tomatoes or peppers on it. However, service aside, I'm someone that normally if the food is good, I MIGHT overlook the service. However, that wasn't the case here. When my sub &9.00 sub came it consisted of a stale roll, (not a crisp Italian roll, a once soft sandwich roll with now hard, dry edges) 1 slice of ham, 2 pieces of a commercial grade (mooshy Bologna style) salami and a slice of Provolone cheese, no lettuce, no onion, no dressing. I ate 1/3rd of it (5 bites) and never said another word to the manager/server. I mistakenly chalked this up to it being a new business. As, I said, the Pizza was slightly better this trip but certainly not good enough to ever return!

Yikes. Everything being said here is true. The incredible enigma wrapped in a riddle that is Bella Amici is that the food is quite good, but the service is absolutely horrendous and the management nonexistent. This is the kind of place that would have Jon Taffer of "Bar Rescue" fame hollering at the managers to actually manage, rather than hide from criticism - and in plain sight, I might add. The owner, by the way, makes every effort to look cool behind his dark shades but no effort to actually mingle with the customers or staff to ensure quality. We waited 15 minutes to even be approached for seating, then were ushered to the restaurant entry only to watch our table to be given away. The only way we actually dined was through some verbal advocacy of someone in our party. Our server, Chelsea, was a bright spot and saving grace - though to wait over an hour for a relatively straightforward large pizza is a failure that all of the team members must share in and take responsibility for. Someone needs to stand up for these frustrated servers and instill a spirit of teamwork, caring and customer focus. There are too many good South Florida restaurants that have cracked the customer service code that are willing to swoop in and embrace finicky diners.

Ok were it not for HOWIE-who was the host/server/food prep person- we would have walked. This employee was courteous, friendly and accommodating-not to mention apologetic and deserves 5 stars!!! He was basically a one man show since the second employee did not show up for work and the owner was no where in sight. The only reason I gave this review 3 stars and not 1 star was based on this one terrific employee, the food was fine for my kids and I, and we got to our movie on time. However, unless this restaurant changes ownership soon or the way it conducts business, it is not an establishment I would recommend.

DON'T EAT HERE!!!! The service here is absolutely the worst I've ever experienced. Disappointment started at the door. The hostess didn't greet my friend and I when we walked through the door. She blankly stared at us with her unenthused, "I'd rather be home posting on my Facebook about how much I hate my job" face. We didn't get a "hi, how are you?" or, "welcome, guys!" She asked no questions, and took us to a table that was stained, which she proceeded to blankly stare at, and slurred, "oh, I'll have someone wipe it." She threw the menus down on the table and walked away. Our waiter was this balding, middle aged man, who never smiled once, or even told us his name. When we realized he hadn't given us napkins or silverware, he was nowhere to be found, and we had to ask the woman assigned to the table next to ours. She asked us who our waiter was, she gave us the stink-eye, and stormed off. When our waiter finally came back, he threw us a pile of napkins from ACROSS THE ROOM, without even looking at us or saying anything. Nothing. The food is disgusting. Frozen pizza is by far superior. I feel personally offended by the pizza, and it makes me want to punch myself in the face. The cheese was made out of rubber and broken dreams, the sauce tasted like the floor of a Chuck-E-Cheese, the music is ideal for people who are dead, and the restaurant felt dirty. I understand its convenient as it's located directly across from the movie theater, but there is a Publix in the Marketplace, and I promise, it'd be better to just stop by and get a frozen pizza, than to sit in the stain thats "Bella Amici." I promise, their pizza tastes like regret. Don't bring your children here if you love them, and don't bring your elderly if you want them to live.

We dined at Bella Amici last evening and despite the reviews here, we thought it as A-ok! We were greeted and told to select any table we'd like, by Will. He was also our server and was attentive and pleasant. The restaurant was very busy and the staff kept up with the pace. We ordered the chicken parm with a Caesar salad and a pepperoni calzone. The food was good and the prices very fair. This is not a fancy Italian restaurant but it's a good pizzeria plus! We'd go back for sure.

Average food at best. Guy at the counter taking my order and making the pizza had a really dry and uncomfortable sense of humor. Really rubbed me the wrong way. But Gabbi, my server, came by and really cheered me up. She is the only reason I did not give this place zero stars.

On June 23, 2015 about 6pm my wife and I decided to have dinner Bella Amici and then attend the movies across the street. Wanting to dine outside I went in to check with a hostess. When I walked in there was no hostess greeting anyone. I saw three young gentlemen behind the counter obviously picking up orders and waiting on seated customers. I stood there at the front door entrance for about 3 minutes. No one acknowledged me. So I decided to move down the counter area to where the cash register was located and all the waiters that were on duty were walking back and forth. I stood there for an additional 6 minutes and no one looked at me, no one said " we'll be with you in a moment" no one said a word they just kept walking past me. I took my wife and left went across the street to the Mexican restaurant and was acknowledged, seated and served immediately. This Bella Amici is a joke. Don't waste your time going there. If you decide you must I would suggest you hurry because they won't be there very long with their approach to customer service.

We were seated quickly, ordered within 5 minutes of sitting. Took 20 minutes (literally) to two slices of pizzas. We were running late to a movie so we asked for the check, server brought it out right away and, after 10 minutes of waiting, my wife and I decided to just pay at the counter.... Place is either running Erin or short staff. Either way, this is the third and last time we'll be here. Sucks, it has great potential being so close to the movie theatre. On a good note, food quality has definitely increased.

Food is barely mediocre. Service is worse. Only good thing is it's near the movies. It has gotten better since they started table service, but they is still a lot of room for improvement.

About Taco Bell

Taco Bell is a haven for Mexican delicacies such as tacos, quesadillas, burritos, nachos, and other specialty items. Owned by Yum! Brands, Inc. Taco Bell is one of the fastest growing American chains of fast food restaurants. The restaurant operates from 7,072 different locations which are mostly run by independent franchisees and licensees.

The background story of Taco Bell is interesting and inspiring for budding entrepreneurs. The fast-food brand is the brainchild of Glen Bell, who started his first food venture as a hot dog seller in San Bernardino, California. The year was 1948. After witnessing long queues outside a Mexican restaurant called Mitla Café across the street, Bell saw the opportunity and demand for hard-shelled Tacos. He reverse-engineered the recipe and later started selling Tacos and called the venture Taco-Tia.

Later, the name changed from Taco-Tia to El Taco. Eventually, Glen Bell sold the company to his partner and opened the first Taco Bell in Downey in 1962. By 1964, the restaurant also got its first franchise in Torrance. The 100th Taco Bell restaurant was opened by 1965. PepsiCo acquired Taco Bell from Glen Bell in 1978 and the restaurant brand is currently a subsidiary of Yum! Brands which looks after the restaurant business of PepsiCo.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
